LECTURE NOTES This is a big file, and it might be better getting a copy on CD (free to PeebSAC members), unless you have broadband.
Sport Diver Lectures
UPDATE October 30 2007 - link below is to ScotSAC website
Complete Lecture Set in .pdf 4MB
These are the basis for the lectures we have before each of our Wednesday pool sessions. ScotSAC's Diving Manual also explains some of these thing and a copy of it is also included for new members as part of their fees.
The links will open up a new browser window. When you wish to return to this page, you can just close the new browser window.
If you have any problems with the lectures, then please let us know, so we can remedy the
problem.
A version of the Powerpoint Presentation / overhead slides is available at Don's Dive Store website. Again these are big files multi-MB broadband only. CD-ROM version available from PeebSAC.
Old version The old version of this page still has links to the old lectures. These are smaller files but have not been updated for a while
Reading these lectures alone does not qualify anyone in the use of SCUBA equipment.
These lectures should be used as part of a recognised training programme, organised by a recognised agency (e.g.SSAC,BSAC,PADI,SAA.).
Feel free to use this material to help with your SCUBA training. Information contained in these lectures is believed to be accurate. Peeblesshire SAC accepts no responsibility for their use.
The Club also has a number of useful training videos
Diver Emergency Surface Locatation Devices
Deep Trouble
Dive Safely
and a DVD on Risk Assessment for Dive organisers.
